This is tubing... for those of you who are unfamiliar. You are towed behind a boat at high rates of speeding while being dragged across choppy water as you hang on for dear life to a tube!

We took in an Indians game one night.... it was blazing hot, but once the sun went down a bit, it was great.

Jody's visit

Jody arrived last Tuesday night and left today, Sunday. We had a great visit, filled with food, family and fun. I'll try to post some pics.

We have been trying to get out boating as often as possible... which isn't as often as we would like.

Todd and Ricole at Moses Lake Triathalon

Todd, Ricole and a friend, Kyle Baird, participated in the Moses Lake Triathalon about a month ago. Since Ricole had sprained her ankle pretty badly, she couldn't compete in all three legs like she wanted to. So she did the swim, Jon did the run, and Kyle did the biking.

Todd did all three legs... kinda. After he (very) sucessfully completed the swim, he got 10 miles into the 25 mile bike ride, and got a flat tire. He couldn't repair it, so he had to drop out of the race. He was NOT happy!

Jon's Jr. Humanities project

I am a bit behind, so I will try to catch up.

Here are some pics of Jon's Jr. Humanities project. He and a friend, Brent Gilliam, did a project on the history of hunting, etc. They wrote a 20 page paper, and this was their display.

Ricole

Ricole got her wisdom teeth taken out this morning. Everything went really well... she is now watching Full House ( that show is ALWAYS on) upstairs in my bed, after washing down a pain pill and some ibuprofen with a peach Keva juice. There are two flavors of frozen yogurt in the freezer, and Lisa Baird brought by some chocolate and strawberry milks. Hopefully she'll get thru this OK!

We brought home the teeth... they're pretty gnarly. I'll take a pic later, and if she gets nice and swollen or bruised, I'll take a pic of that, too, if she'll let me!

Yay Quinn!!

Quinn took the DAT today - the standardized test required for entrance into dental school - and did really well!! Violet said that he was able to look at his score immediately after the test, and he got a 20. Which is amazing, considering that the average score for acceptance into a dental school is 17. They want to go to UW's dental school, which is really hard to get into. The average score for acceptance there is 19. So he is looking really good right now!!

We are all SOOOO proud of you, Quinn! Great job!
